About jonathan funke
I’ve spent my life on creating social change by founding social start-ups, building movements and help improve legislation.
💬 Germany’s youngest TEDx Speaker
2017 at 21 years, I had the great pleasure to present my work and theory of change on this global stage.
🌱 built social start-ups
from tip-me.org to von-innen.org
generating funds for disadvantaged people and communities.
🤝 movements and alliances
of 270+ organizations to create 750,000 climate jobs
incl. Ministries, Mayors, Corporates, Start-ups, activists and chambers.
📜 Policy Work / Lobby for Good
Changing laws from digital rights to modern labor market.
💡 Fun Fact:
When I was 6 years old, I made my father co-found Germany’s first children’s radio with me. We won prizes from the UNESCO and interviewed the German President Johannes Rau, Jane Goodall and many more.
My Theory of Change:
societal improvements require
three forces coming together:
Social Innovations
+ Movement BuilDing
+ Lobby for Good = systemic change
The mayor issues of our time require progressive forces to join forces.
How do we use the power of AI for good? How do we accelerate our transition into a net-zero economy? How do we ensure human rights are respected in global supply chains?

In 2017, I had the great honor to give a TEDx talk on the three pillars that tip me implemented for a more fair globalization:
creating transparency: allowing customers to understand who the people are who made their products
direct, effective action: not only enabling people to give back but ensuring 100% of tips end up with workers
building empathy: I’m still connected to workers in Pakistan, Kenia and Vietnam via Whatsapp etc. If they feel like it, they can share the impact tips made in their lives, directly and authentically. Some send us selfies after buying with new school books for their children, medicine for their parents or just regular groceries.
